A safety record that's no accident.

At John A. Papalas & Company, staff safety is paramount. We work diligently to uphold our outstanding safety record while ensuring our employees a hazard-free work environment.

In addition, our general and regular foremen are routinely required to complete OSHA's latest safety courses, and our skilled trade employees attend regularly scheduled, mandatory, paid safety meetings.

Because of this dedication to employee well-being, we consistently maintain one of the highest safety ratings in the industry. We believe our constant focus on safety improvements, plus a high employee retention translates to efficient, consistent production and cost savings for our customers.

Our .82 E.M.R. Rate for 2009 demonstrates John A. Papalas & Company's aggressive safety program that emphasizes a safe work environment as our number one priority. We are very proud of the company safety record. All of the company's general foremen have completed the OSHA 30 hour course and all foremen have completed the OSHA 10 hour course. All employees attend mandatory, paid, monthly safety meetings, complete an 18 module online safety training program and take part in weekly toolbox talks. Additionally the employees receive specialized training i.e., Confined Space Entry Certification, Lead Training Regulation, First Aid and CPR.
